Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne Moor is a Hollywood actor and writer who has received critical recognition for her talent. Sagittarius. She was born in North Carolina December 3, 1960. She is one of the three oldest children to Peter Moore Smith and Anne Smith. Peter was a paratrooper. She's English and Scottish. Moore's father was a mover often due to his job. It was hard for her to find or maintain friendships. Moore was able to start acting in plays when she moved with her family members to Germany. She continued her studies through Boston University, graduating in 1983 with an B.F.A. Thesis in Theater. Moore moved to New York after graduating and started her professional career in off-broadway theater. Her screen debut came in 1985 with an episode of The Edge of Night. The following year, she played two roles as Frannie and Sabrina Hughes in As the World Turns which became her break. This show lasted until 1988 and won the Daytime Emmy Award. In 1990, she made her cinematic debut in Tales from the Darkside: The Movie that was later criticized as the worst low-budget production. Short Cuts (1997) and 3 Women (1993), both Robert Altman productions, were her first films. The latter was critically acclaimed and she earned several nominations for it. Her first lead role came in Safe (1995). In 1997, her career as an actress was at a crossroads after Steven Spielberg cast her to be the main character in Jurassic Park: The Lost World that became one of 1997's highest-grossing movies. She received a SAG award nomination for Magnolia at the end of 1999. The Hours, a 2002 film she costarred in with Nicole Kidman and Meryl Strreep was nominated for nine Academy Awards. Other movies Moore starred in include The Forgotten (2004) Freedomland (2006) Shelter (2010) as well as Shelter. Non-Stop aired in the year 2014. Moore has appeared on countless television and film shows. She's appeared in numerous movies and TV programs. Her latest role was In When You Finish Save the World 2022. Her career has been established in Hollywood as well as being a successful children's book author. She released her first book in 2007 Freckleface Strawberry and quickly became an N.Y.T. Best-seller, it was also made into a series as well as a music. Her 2013 book, My Mom Is A Foreigner was also a best-seller. Moore is an accomplished actress and writer. The personal details of her life is therefore in the realm of the public domain. She was married to John Robin from 1984 until 1995. Bart Freundlich and Moore had two children.
