Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne Moor is a Hollywood actor and writer who has received critical recognition for her talent. Sagittarius. She was born in North Carolina December 3, 1960. She is one of the three oldest children to Peter Moore Smith and Anne Smith. Peter was a paratrooper. She's English and Scottish. Moore's father was a mover often due to his job. It was hard for her to find or maintain friendships. Moore was able to start acting in plays when she moved with her family members to Germany. She continued her studies through Boston University, graduating in 1983 with an B.F.A. Thesis in Theater. Short Cuts (1997) and 3 Women (1993), both Robert Altman productions, were her first films. The latter was critically acclaimed and she earned several nominations for it. Her first lead role came in Safe (1995). In 1997, her career as an actress was at a crossroads after Steven Spielberg cast her to be the main character in Jurassic Park: The Lost World that became one of 1997's highest-grossing movies. She received a SAG award nomination for Magnolia at the end of 1999. The Hours, a 2002 film she costarred in with Nicole Kidman and Meryl Strreep was nominated for nine Academy Awards. Other movies Moore starred in include The Forgotten (2004) Freedomland (2006) Shelter (2010) as well as Shelter. Non-Stop aired in the year 2014.
